NASCAR Research and Development Center
Concord, N.C. -- February 2003) -- Completion was achieved last month on the new 2 - story, 61,000 sf. facility for NASCAR Research and Development Center in Concord, North Carolina.
Juba Aluminum Products acted as the glass and glazing subcontractor performing the 30,000 sf. of exterior curtainwall design and construction, completing the facility on time and within budget. Barry Mecke, project manager, says the project's success was due to the collaborative effort between CM Black Construction - general contractor, Juba Aluminum Products, and Yates-Chreitzberg - architects.
"The entire construction team should be credited for taking the previously abandoned building structure, which was an eye sore for the county, and creating a beautiful masterpiece of construction," said John Juba, President of Juba Aluminum.
The Concord operation of NASCAR R&D is located in West Winds Business Park off Derita Road near Interstate 85.
